'Search engines' allow you to type in a word or phrase then search the internet for every site that contains that word/phrase in its name (or within any of its pages). Be warned: a search result could list thousands of sites, most of which will be useless (and some of which could be offensive).
Google is the most useful search engine because it is very fast/easy to use and the results of your search have the most popular (and often best) sites shown at the top of the list. To use Google, click below.
When using a search engine, bear in mind that the sites listed are sometimes based in other countries (usually the US) and the information/service may not be relevant/available in the UK. Also, don't be surprised if the sites aren't what you were looking for because the internet is so large and varied. All the sites on SitesForMums, on the other hand, are safe and relevant to UK mums.
